You seem to be really unsure with your own decisions. If you bought PS3, it's your choice, but don't bloody always whine how GREAT it is and how much xbox360 sucks. The way you do it only shows you're not really sure about your choice of console, you have to boost it up by trashing the other choice. I am really sorry if you feel you might have chosen poorly.
I guess they want to make it great for both console, ps3, xbox360. In first public demo they showed it with xbox360 and in that demo they said the reason why they show it with 360 is because the AI works currently better with it.
So.. why so long? They of course want both versions to be equally good.

It is all about being innovative. Nintendo pushed for it and well...what they have now is the most innovative system out there that happens to be cheap as well = sales.
What I personally hate is that people think next gen is HD and incredible graphics only.. and bloody fusion powered artificial suns.
Can't wait for the day when every console and system out there can push full realism in real time. THEN the idea of the game itself becomes the most important issue.. not G...
Well, I personally would not want to invest for something that won't be useful to me till after 2-3 years time. Most likely when that time comes there are better options already out.
Prolly several, body count 100 etc..hehe. At least all the main targets gives one for sure.
Achievements are always a nice extra for any game.
People who want Wii, will buy it no matter what. This affects only random shoppers, those who walk into shop and buy things because they look good or they have heard good things about the product. Impulse buyers.
Real Wii fans WILL buy them and even wait if they have to.
PS3 brilliant! My wife uses it now for cooking. I really recommend it if you're about to renew your domestic appliances. That's where we found it in a shop anyhow, among other new kitchen goodies.
